Blue Skies, White Sand, Scotland?

Blue Skies, White sands and blue seas, and temperatures hot enough to burn - and this is Scotland. This particular photo was taken on the Isle of Lewis at Bhaltos on its north west coast. there is nothing between here and Canada and here and Greenland except the Atlantic ocean.

Look more closely and you will see some scale. An orange blob that is my tent. This was the view from my tent for the time we were camped here and what a view.

The land around you in the foreground is the Machair, which is an environment unique to the Atlantic ocast of Scotland and some parts of Ireland.
